Similar to bad weather hit the north-west the night before, Manchester City overwhelmed the visitors aside at the Etihad. It was a convincing three-nil win for their manager's side due to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a display that clearly signaled their championship potential as they strengthened their place at the league summit.

Back-to-Back Defeats for Manchester United

This result marked consecutive league losses for Skinner's side for the first time since spring 2024, putting them a significant margin off the top team with their trophy ambitions severely dented.
